CDEV currently manages over $75 billion in assets through eight subsidiaries, forming the CDEV Group of Companies. Its high-profile roles in recent years include the purchase and ongoing management of the Trans Mountain pipeline, the establishment of the $15-billion Canada Growth Fund, and the establishment and operation of the Large Employer Emergency Financing Facility (LEEFF) program, which provided over $7 billion in structured bridge financing to large Canadian companies who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CDEV Group of Companies continues to grow with CDEV having been mandated to lead the delivery of the $10-billion federal Indigenous Loan Guarantee Program and structure a significant financing agreement with Telesat, Canada’s largest ever space program.

Position Overview

CDEV is hiring a full-time Office & Administrative Assistant to join its high-performing team of experienced professionals. The Office & Administrative Assistant is expected to support administrative needs in both the Toronto and Ottawa office locations. The selected candidate will be based in the Toronto head office and will work in person, from Monday-Friday. 
 
Responsibilities
  •  Provide administrative support as required for senior team members.
  • Coordinate meetings, meeting spaces, and travel arrangements.
  • Monitoring and operating office equipment including scheduling any necessary repairs, maintenance and upgrades.
  • Order and restock office and kitchen supplies.
  • Arrange for courier and delivery services as needed.
  • Manage the storage inventory and track all document boxes to and from storage.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Respond to incoming telephone calls on the general line and e-mail inquiries.
  • Assist with other office administrative duties as required.
  • Assist with processing cheques and invoice payments and provide support for other accounts payable and receivable functions, as required.
 
Key Skills and Attributes
  • Relevant experience in a customer service, administrative, or office-support role.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a front facing role, acting often as the first point of contact with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Superior organizational skills, including being meticulous in managing files and administrative follow-ups.
  • Initiative and proactivity, being able to take on the lead in improving processes.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Basic IT troubleshooting skills.
  • A team player who is flexible and enjoys variability in tasks.
  • Proficiency in French language; bilingualism is preferred.
